It was a forgettable end of a three game week for the College of Marin Men's Soccer team. After a pair of home games against Merritt and Yuba, they traveled to face off against Napa Valley College on Friday. They were immediately in the thick of it as Napa scored four times before Marin could grab a consolation goal late to salvage a 4-1 score line.

Napa game out early grabbing a pair of goals in the opening half. William Finnie, the Marin keeper, did his best to parry the attack of the home team, but was unable to keep a clean sheet. Friday's match closely resembled the game between the two opponents in October where Napa dominated from the outset and emerged with a 3-0 win.

This match saw Napa score twice in the first half and then twice again in the second half before Marin managed to pull one back in the 81^st minute. After a foul by Napa, Henry Mata served a ball to the back post where he found Jesus Villeda Ochoa with a finishing header.

The match ended shortly after with the Mariners looking for their first win since October 4^th.

Finnie made 10 saves in the loss, while Mata had his second assist of the season on Villeda's second goal of the year. For coach Jake Morrison "We played well given the conditions. We worked hard played some good football at times just unfortunately found it hard to be successful. It is silly having to play three games in four days." The Mariners were forced to play thrice during the week due to a rain postponement.

College of Marin has two games remaining on the season with a road match at Contra Costa on Tuesday, November 8^th and a home match against Mendocino College on Thursday, November 10^th.
