Mariners Continue to Impress at the Solano Invitational

Fairfield, CA--On Saturday, March 26, the Marin Swim & Dive team traveled to the Solano Invite up the road in Fairfield, California. The team looked to continue improving from the stellar results gained at the 11th Annual Mariner Invite.

The Mariners did not disappoint, scoring 5 first place finishes, and 8 top five finishes overall in a dominant day in the pool.

Freshman swimmer Hope Garrett continues to impress as she grabbed first place in the 50 meter butterfly, clocking in a time of 29.05. She followed up that performance with another first place finish. This time in the 100 meter butterfly, beating the field with a time of 1:05.58. Hope wrapped up her dominant day in the water with a second place finish in the 200 meter individual medley, with a final time of 2:29.23.

Not to be outdone, Perry Kindle turned in two first place finishes of her own. In the 1 meter dive event Perry's score of 156 points netted her first. While in the 3 meter dive event a final score of 117.5 secured her second first place finish on the day. Freshman diver Maddie Bailey also competed in the 1 and 3 meter dive events, she place third and fourth respectively.

Brandon Guy claimed a first place finish of his own coming in first place in the 1 meter diving event, with a score of 91.75.

The Marin Swim & Dive Team's next event will be in Hayward, next Saturday, April 9th, at the Chabot Invititational.
