College of Marin Volleyball Takes Down Alameda For First Win of the Year

After showing improvement from week to week, the College of Marin Volleyball team found the winning side of the ledger. In their third conference game of the year, the Mariners visited the College of Alameda and notched their first win of the season in three sets. Led by a strong performance by Tate Dobbins, the Mariners overwhelmed their opponent in convincing fashion.

The Mariners showed their potential in matches against Napa and Yuba in the previous weeks. After learning from their shortcomings, the COM Volleyball team achieved a satisfying victory.  There was no let down from Wednesday's loss to Yuba College as the College of Marin jumped out to a quick lead and never looked back in a 25-15 first set victory. The second and third sets were both quick handled victories by identical 25-14 scores.

Tate Dobbins recorded her first double double of the season with 15 kills and 10 digs. Jennifer Huezo had 22 assists and Kailey Walker had eight kills and seven digs.

The Mariners have a week to relish their victory before facing Los Medanos College in Kentfield at 6:00pm on Friday, October 2nd
