Mariners Volleyball Outplays Mendocino In 3-0 Sweep

College of Marin Volleyball continued their excellent play of late, traveling to Mendocino College on Friday, and handing the Eagles a 3-0 defeat. Marin out played their hosts in all facets of the game, taking each set by a comfortable margin in the straight set victory, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-17.

Marin played a very clean game, and limited errors. In addition they had their best hitting game of the season, topping .300 as a team.

Marin took the first set by dominating on defense and offense. They made only a few errors and forced Mendocino to play back on their heels for the entire set. Marin took the game 25-17. The second set played out much like the first as Marin took it to Mendocino and won the second 25-19. They followed with a clean third set and a match win 25-17.

Marin got contributions from across the board as both Salomi Galodamu and Alejandra Leon led the team with 12 kills each. Galodamu added three aces five digs and two blocks to her game resume. Leon had three digs as well in the match. Bella De Souza had nine kills, six digs and three aces while Sarah Harris chipped in 32 assists, three kills and three aces on the evening.

 Next up for the Mariners is a home match against Laney on Wednesday, October 11th before hosting Bay Valley Conference leaders Solano on Friday, October 13th.
