The College of Marin men’s basketball team delivered its strongest offensive performance of the young season on Saturday afternoon, powering past Gavilan College, 99–75 at the Don Barksdale Court.
The Mariners shot an impressive 54.5% from the field and had five players score in double figures. Te’Shawn Gamble led the charge with a game-high 22 points, adding eight assists, five rebounds, and four steals in a stellar all-around performance.
Olivier Borgol was a force inside, matching Gamble with 22 points while grabbing eight rebounds and going 11-of-13 from the foul line. Kingston Carmona added 17 points on efficient 8-of-11 shooting, and K’Hamani Olivacce contributed 16 points—including a perfect 4-for-4 from three—while also dishing out five assists. Jahmai Jones provided a spark off the bench with nine points.
Marin controlled the game from the opening tip, building a 40–31 halftime lead before pouring in 59 points in the second half to put the game away.
Gavilan was paced by Andre Gutierrez, who scored 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Uriah Brown added 15 points and five assists, while Trey Miller chipped in 12.
With the win, Marin showcased its depth, ball movement, and improved defensive pressure, forcing 22 Gavilan turnovers that led to transition opportunities throughout the afternoon.
The Mariners will take on the Skyline College Trojans on November 22nd at 4:00 PM in Kentfield.
