Dario began teaching at the College of Marin in 1998. Through his teaching, Dario aims to help students practice balanced, coordinated and well-aligned movement within their goals of improving dynamic strength, cardiovascular fitness, and overall health - regardless of current fitness or level of activity. When he is not teaching, Dario runs the Whole Athlete Performance Center, a resource for cyclists, triathletes and fitness enthusiasts based in San Anselmo. He is a professional bike fitter and longtime cycling coach, having worked with endurance athletes of all levels since 1997.

KIN 113 - Functional Strength & Fitness:
Dario's Fitness Center classes begin with a group warm up of ~15-20 min, focused on basic flexibility, mobility, and some dynamic core work. The warm up is followed by circuit training which includes a combination of functional strength work, balance, and core stability. Monday class tends to be upper body focused and Wednesday lower body. Each class wraps up with a group foam roller session to help smooth out and release well-worked muscles.

KIN 156 - Aquatic Fitness:
Dario's approach to teaching swimming combines a focus on technique and fitness, implementing creative swim drills into his varied, fun workouts. His experience with competitive swimming began as a member of the College of Marin swim team in the early 90s, and his enthusiasm for swim fitness and technique continues through today. He's dabbled in open water swimming and triathlon, as well as participated in Masters swim clubs both in Santa Cruz and the SF Bay Area.

KIN 173 - Yoga:
Dario's approach to teaching Yoga is firmly rooted in the Iyengar method, with an emphasis on alignment and awareness. He has been studying and practicing Yoga for nearly 30 years, with over 20 years of teaching experience. He has studied with the Iyengars in Pune, India, and with a variety of senior teachers in the US. Dario's travels along the yogic path continue to bring new insights and discovery to his teaching, which he shares with his students in creative and balanced classes. He understands the particular needs of active people, athletes, as well as those with limitations, injuries or those who are simply new to Yoga.
