College of Marin

Tom Arrington was a prodigious Marin County baseball player. Raised in Mill Valley, he attended Tam High School his freshman year before transferring to Redwood to play for Al Endriss. After completing his high school career at Redwood, Tom was presented with several offers from four year universities. Despite that, he opted for College of Marin to continue playing for Endriss.

Arrington played for two years at College of Marin from 1982-1983 where he was a member of the Bay Valley Conference First Team. “As a player I always competed to win. Playing baseball at COM was enjoyable to me because I was surrounded by other very good players that had a passion to win and for baseball in general.” Tom said reflecting on his time at COM.

He was drafted in the tenth round of the 1983 draft by the Texas Rangers. He opted to attend Texas A&M for two years where he earned two varsity letters, and the Southwest Conference tournament MVP.

Arrington began his coaching career at the College of San Mateo and San Francisco State before rejoining Al Endriss at College of Marin, as a member of his coaching staff in 1994. Tom succeeded Endriss as head coach in 1997, a position he remained in before accepting a coaching position at San Jacinto College in Houston in 2000. He was named head coach of the team in 2001 a position he currently holds in addition to the Athletic Director for the College.
