We are thrilled to announce that Alana McCartney, a sophomore standout in Women's Water Polo, has been named Co-Mariner of the Month for September. This marks Alana's second recognition as the Mariner of the Month, a testament to her remarkable talent and dedication to the sport. 

Consistent Offensive Leadership 

Alana McCartney has been a driving force behind the success of the College of Marin's water polo team for the past two years. Her unwavering commitment and exemplary performance have made her a true leader on and off the pool deck 

Coaches Association Player of the Week 

Alana's exceptional skills and contributions to the team did not go unnoticed. She was recently honored as the California Community College Water Polo Coaches Association Player of the Week, further solidifying her status as a rising star in collegiate water polo. 

Setting Records in Just 15 Games 

In an astonishing display of skill and determination, Alana has dominated the competition in the California Community College Water Polo scene this season. In a mere 16 games, she has achieved remarkable statistics: 

- Goals: Leading the league with an impressive 78 goals. 

- Steals: Topping the charts with an astounding 72 steals. 

- Shots: A prolific shooter with 139 attempts. 

- Shooting Percentage: Boasting an outstanding shooting accuracy of 56.1%. 

Alana McCartney's remarkable performance showcases her as not only a top scorer but also an all-around athlete who excels in both offense and defense.
