Alana McCartney, Women's Water Polo

Women’s Water Polo player Alana McCartney named Co-Mariner of the Month for October. The freshman utility for the women’s water polo team has led the team in her offensive efforts.  In her first season, Alana scored 35 goals, shooting at 58.3%.

Alana has recorded impressive statistical rankings in the state thus far: goals and steals (ninth) and assists (third). Alana’s impressive play has been in just seven games unlike other leaders in the state who have played in 14 or more games this season. On a per-game basis, Alana is number one in the state in goals, steals, and assists.

McCartney will continue to rise as an outstanding athlete as the Mariners continue their season.
