Daniel Fagan, Men's Basketball

Men’s Basketball Sophomore, Daniel Fagan, named Co-Mariner of the Month for December. In his second season with the Mariners, Fagan has been the leader on and off the court.

At 6’2”, Fagan averages 15.6 points per game, 5th in the Bay Valley Conference. Shooting 32.6% from 3-point land, 85.7% at the free-throw line, and dishing out 2.8 assists per game. Fagan is 8th for assists and 2nd in free-throw percentage in the Bay Valley Conference.  

In the month of December, Fagan scored 15+ points in 4 of the 5 games. Daniel’s highest scoring game this season was 31 points on November 12th during the Don Barksdale Tournament against Folsom Lake, he also was 100% from the free-throw line; 11-11.  Fagan's defense held Folsom Lake's starting guard, Tyson Hazel, to just three points. The team forced their opponent to a total of 22 turnovers leading them to a 13-point victory over Folsom Lake. 

During the 2021-22 season, Fagan averaged 18.6 points per game, 46.8% around the arch, and 3.1 assists per game. Daniel’s career high at College of Marin was 37 points against Mendocino College last season.  

This will be Fagan’s last season at College of Marin, it will be exciting to see how he finishes his run as a Mariner.  

What are your academic/career goals?  

My goals are to move on to a 4 year and get my AA 

How do you manage being a full-time student and an athlete?  

Basically whenever I’m not on the court, I’m doing my work. 

What do you enjoy about athletics?  

I enjoy being around my teammates and excelling in my sport.
