We are thrilled to announce Lillian "Lilly" Weires as the Co-Mariner of the Month for February, by the esteemed Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. 

 A Multifaceted Athlete 

Hailing from Petaluma, Lilly is a standout sophomore who showcases her remarkable talents not only in Women's Water Polo but also in the realm of Women's Swim. This spring, Lilly has been celebrated for her exceptional performances as a swimmer, captivating audiences with her skill and determination. 

Impressive Performance Highlights 

Lilly's prowess in the water is evident from her stellar performances. In the season's inaugural meet, she displayed her agility and speed in the 200 Medley relay, securing a commendable 4th place finish with a time of 2:11.23. Furthermore, her individual events showcase her versatility and strength: 

Women’s 200 Free: Clocking in at 2:16.58, Lilly demonstrates her endurance and speed. 

Women’s 50 Free: Garnering a podium finish, Lilly clinched 3rd place with a swift time of 26.71. 

Women’s 100 IM: Lilly's versatility shines as she completes the race in 1:09.91, showcasing her proficiency across multiple strokes. 

Academic Excellence Beyond the Pool 

Beyond her athletic achievements, Lilly's dedication to academic excellence is truly commendable. Maintaining an impressive GPA of over 3.5 each semester while majoring in Business Administration, she exemplifies the ideal of a scholar-athlete, excelling both in the classroom and in the pool.

As Lilly concludes her time as a scholar-athlete at COM, we eagerly anticipate her continued success and excellence in every meet. Her remarkable performances, both athletically and academically, serve as a testament to her dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
