Kentfield—Returning from their most lopsided victory in BVC play Marin wanted to keep the momentum rolling as they opened up a four game home stand. The Solano Falcons came into Kentfield hoping to snap a two-game slide. With both teams battling to stay in contention in the Bay Valley Conference, something had to give.

Marin, despite being undermanned, came out hustling all over the court and making plays on both ends. On both sides of the ball Mariners were flying around, making plays, and forcing Solano out of any rhythm. Noah Everly turned his hustle plays into points time and time again as he lead Marin to a ten point halftime lead, 41-31. Everly had a game best 17 points at the intermission.

Where Everly left off George Johnson picked up for Marin offensively in the second half. After being held to just 8 points in the first half Marin's leading scorer exploded for 16 second half points. It wasn't just continued offense that Marin enjoyed in the second half, the defense stepped up their game as well. The Mariners, with only 6 players, held their own against a Solano squad that runs 13 deep.

Keiland Callum continued to frustrate opposing players with his intense play and shot-blocking, swatting away shots all game. Callum got things done on the offensive end as well, notching his 12^th straight double digit scoring game—a streak that began on December 3^rd against Big 8 opponent Santa Rosa.

Marin continues their home stand Wednesday February 3^rd as Contra Costa comes to town. Marin fell 86-81 to Contra Costa Saturday January 16—marking Marin's first loss in Bay Valley Conference play.
