Women’s Basketball player Jaychelle Price was named to the Bay Valley All-Conference First Team on Sunday. The sophomore point guard from Pittsburg High School led her team in conference scoring with 15.5 points per game in ten contests.
Price shot 40.9% from the floor and 66.7% from the free throw line while leading her team in field goals and three point field goals made. Price also contributed 7.3 rebounds per game, 3.3 assists per game and 2.2 steals per game.
The Team Captain had double digit scoring in 9 of 10 conference games, with a season high 23 against Yuba College in a 63-61 loss on February 12th. Price nearly had a triple against Mendocino College on January 12th finishing with 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. In the rematch on February 17th Price narrowly missed a triple double again with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. She even added four steals and three blocks for good measure.
