College of Marin Soccer enjoyed a goal fest at home on Tuesday as they unloaded 11 times of the visiting Eagles of Mendocino College. After beating the same opponent 9-0 a week before in Ukiah, Marin followed up with an even more impressive effort at home. Amelia Nopper and Elise Perez each registered a hat trick, while the team's leading goal scorer, Deidre Hyde, added two to her season tally.

It did not take long for the Mariners to find the breakthrough as Hyde opened the scoring in the fifth minute of play. She took the ball on the left flank and blasted a shot past the keeper to put the Mariners in front. Nopper doubled the lead four minutes later as she corralled a cross from Jurany Pohl and lashed a shot across Mendocino keeper for her first goal of the match.

Midfielder Elise Perez joined the action in the 26^th minute as she gained possession at the edge of the box and beat the keeper in a 1 v 1 opportunity. She added a second, minutes later with a deft chip of the opposing keeper for a 4-0 lead.

The Mariners were not finished for the first half as Pohl joined the goal parade in the 28^th minute, connecting from the left side for a 5-0 lead. Hyde added her second in the 30^th minute off a cross from Thalia Loppies to give the Mariners a half dozen in the first stanza of competition.

Marin continued to pressure the Mendocino goal in the second half as Gladis Polanco connected in the 48^th minute for her first goal of the match for a 7-0 lead. Perez made her hat trick moments later with a 25-yard screamer over the keeper's head for an 8-0 advantage. Nopper's second came in the 52^nd minute for a 9-0 lead.

The Mariners took a break from goal scoring for a few minutes, before Nopper was at it again, as she scored in the 67^th minute to complete her hat trick. Defender Alexandria Mencarelli got involved before the final whistle with her first goal of the season in the 84^th minute as the Mariners cruised to an 11-0 victory.

The match was an excellent chance for some stress free soccer. Marin's final five matches of the season will not be as easy as the Mariners face all the top teams in the Bay Valley Conference.
