Diana Patrick is COM Female Athlete of The Year

Volleyball player Diana Patrick was named the 2015 College of Marin Female Athlete of The Year at the annual student athlete banquet. Diana was a leader on and off the court for her team, and was named team MVP at the banquet as well. 

The sophmore outside hitter had a record setting career for the College of Marin. She is second all time in kills with 361 and sixth in hitting percentage at .135. 

In the 2014 season she averaged 2.62 kills per set, 2.28 digs per set and a .165 hitting percentage. Patrick was a dominate force throughout the season notching double digit kills in 9 matches and double digit digs in 8. She recorded five kill and dig double doubles during the season. 

Her finest match of the season game against Bay Valley stalwart Solano College on October 10th. In a tough five set match, Patrick never lost her composure with 41 total attacks, 13 kills, 17 digs and a pair of aces. Though the Mariners lost 3-2 it was a hard fought match between two talented teams. 

In the October 3rd match against Alameda College Diana had 13 kills, 15 digs and hit a .200 percentage for the match. The Mariners emerged victorious in four sets. 

In addition to being a dynamic outside hitter, Patrick has versitility and the ability to play anywhere on the floor. In the final match of a season she did it all for her team recording 30 attacks, 11 kills, 7 assists, 7 digs and two aces. 

Patrick isn't retiring from the court anytime soon. She will continue her playing career in the fall for Life Pacific College in San Dimas, California.
