Beach Volleyball Gored By Rams 5-0

Mariners' Beach Volleyball struggled against a top opponent on Friday. The Mariners traveled to Sierra College for a crossover tournament with the Coast Conference. They took on the Fresno City College Rams to open the day and struggled on the wrong side of a sweep. The Fresno Rams did not let up throughout the match as the Mariners struggled to keep pace.

Mackenzie Dugan and Salomi Galodamu went down to the top Fresno team by scores of 21-13 and 21-11. The twos of Magnolia Johnson and Natasha Saccardi faired a bit better, but ended up on the wrong side of a 21-16 and 21-15 pair of sets.

Jade Williams and Lara Perry teamed up against the Fresno City threes, but could not find a breakthrough as they went down 21-12 and 21-11. Francesca Varganolo and Kailani Kwan-Sy were defeated in straight sets 21-13 and 21-14.

The new fives pair of Luiza Bertoza Da Silva and Marissa Morris could not compete with Fresno and were on the wrong side of a 21-12 and 21-8 pair of sets.

The loss was the Mariners' sixth of the young season, but they have another match upcoming against the Gavilan College Rams.
