The College of Marin women’s beach volleyball team wrapped up their regular season with grit, gratitude, and a whole lot of heart. On Thursday, the team competed in their final tournament of the season, capping off a spring filled with growth, challenge, and deep team bonds.
COM’s 1s pair closed out their season on a high note with a thrilling win against Sacramento City College, battling through a tight first set and securing the match with a 25-23, 21-15 victory. Their performance earned them a spot in the Big 8 Pairs Conference Tournament, where they'll go on to represent COM among the top competitors in the region.
All around, the day was filled with emotion as the team took the sand one last time together. With some players just beginning their collegiate volleyball journeys and others suiting up for their final match, it was a reflective and heartfelt send-off for the Mariners.
Grace Qian, who competed at the 2s, shared her appreciation for the season and the team: “Thanks to everyone for making my last season amazing. This has been my favorite team to be a part of.”
Victoria Testa, who played at the 4s, echoed the sentiment: “Thanks to the sophomores and coaches for being great role models and being supportive teammates from the start. I’ve learned so much from this season.”
The day may have marked the end of the regular season, but the memories made—and the legacy left behind—will carry on far beyond the final whistle. Congratulations to the College of Marin women's beach volleyball team for a season filled with fight, growth, and undeniable team spirit.
