It is rare for a game to span multiple days, and rarer still for that game to be played in different cities. Thursday's game began at Contra Costa and finished Saturday in Marin as the Mariners banged out 19 hits that led to 22 runs in a run-away victory. Marin led 5-0 on Thursday when the game was suspended due to rain. The game finished on Saturday in Kentfield as the Mariners played as the visitor in their own stadium. They scored 17 runs over the final five frames and cruised to the victory.

The Mariners went on top in the third inning with a five-spot powered by doubles by Dionathan Cornet and Randy Fernandez. Nick Roth started for the Mariners and held the Comets scoreless in San Pablo through the first three innings.

He stayed on the mound Saturday to throw the fourth, fifth and sixth innings with his only blemish a lone run that scored on a ground out in the bottom of the fourth. He earned the win with six superb innings, striking out nine and yielding just five hits and two walks.

Roth got more than the required support to win the game as Marin was relentless upon their return to Kentfield. It was the first true home appearance for the Mariners since the 2017 season, although they technically served as the road team.

College of Marin scored two in the fifth, two in the sixth, eight more in the seventh, three in the eighth and two in the ninth. They worked 14 walks on the day and received three more hit by pitches.

The Comets did score twice in the seventh and once in the ninth, but it was far too little to make any dent in the Mariners' lead.

Fernandez had three hits, including two doubles with two RBI and three runs scored. Eric Woodrow had three hits in seven at bats while Landen Moran reached base four times and scored three runs. Everyone on the bench got involved as Issac Woldt reached base four times, had two RBI and scored twice. Andrew Trujillo was two for two with pair of runs scored and Kole Morgan had two hits and two RBI off the bench.

It was very successful "home" opener before the second half of the double header with Contra Costa.
