The Mariners hopped on the bus early Tuesday morning for a long 4 hour drive. Their destination, College of Sequoias. 

In this win and advance game, Jake Tirk took the ball and did not give it up. Going 9 innings strong for the Mariners, he absolutely dominated the opposition. Tirk allowed only 1 run in his 9 innings of work. What probably helped aid the low run count is that he struck out 8 batters in route to a big win for the College of Marin team. 

His offense helped as they struck early in the second inning when Benny Nazario drove a double into right center field to score Steven Elsner. After the Sequoia Giants scored to tie it in the third inning, the Mariners locked in. Cronin drove in a run in the sixth inning via sacrifice fly to make it 2-1 Mariners. Then in the eighth inning Jaycob Campbell clocked a homerun to left field in which Trent Free followed suit the very next inning with a home run of his own!

With a final score 4-1, the Mariners move on to the first round.
