Mariners Dominate in 20-1 Win Against Monterey Peninsula

How It Happened:  

The Mariners got off to a strong start in the first inning with a single and two stolen bases from D’Andre Gaines. Jake Ferguson hit one of the two homers of the game. The Mariners dominated in the fifth inning with 10 runs and ended the inning with 2 RBI from second baseman Jacob Campbell. 

On The Mound:  

Starting pitcher Erik Kvidahl (2-0) earned the win on the mound. Kvidahl tossed for six innings, allowing three hits, one run, and six strikeouts.   

Sophomore, Sid Polston threw for three innings, he faced 12 batters with zero hits, zero runs, and five strikeouts.  

Up Next: The Mariners will travel to Santa Rosa Junior College on Friday, February 10th for a 1 pm match.
