Mariners Split a Pair with San Mateo

After a 5-13 loss at home against College of San Mateo on Thursday, February 22nd, the Mariners travel to San Mateo to take on the Bulldogs to complete the series. The Mariners earned a 12-5 victory.   

How it Happened:  

Marin's offense came alive, amassing 12 runs on 17 hits throughout the game.  

Key contributors for Marin included Lucas Schaefer, who went 3-for-6 with a run and an RBI, and Matteo Bellisimo, who delivered a standout performance with three hits, including a home run, driving in three runs. Chris Delangis also made his presence felt, contributing two hits and an RBI to the team's offensive onslaught.  

On the mound, Ryan Shimabukuro led the charge, keeping San Mateo's batters in check with a solid pitching performance. The bullpen also stepped up when called upon, with Bruno Condit, Eli Fogelman, and Jeremy Maldonado combining efforts to secure the victory.

Despite a strong offensive effort from San Mateo, highlighted by Rowan Felsch's three-run home run, Marin's pitching and offensive firepower proved too much to overcome.
