The College of Marin men’s basketball team cruised to victory in their first conference game against Merritt College.  

The Mariners (5-7) went into halftime with a three-point lead over the Thunderbirds (4-7). 

To conclude the victory, Daniel Fagan and Tre McPherson tied for 17 points apiece; Lukas Prongos and Logan Coverson also contributed 10 points each. Prongos grabbed 12 rebounds, his 7th game of the season with 10 or more rebounds.  

Coach Russell commented “Great team win last night. We took 6 charges on defense and had 4 guys in double figures. We are starting to gel as a team and it is showing on the court. Great way to start our regular season.”
