San Mateo, CA — The College of Marin diving team made an impressive season debut at the Coast Conference Kickoff, securing multiple podium finishes and showcasing their talent on both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboards.

 

Top Performances:

Olivia Svuba had a standout performance, placing 2nd in the Women’s 1-meter competition with a score of 218.85, just six points shy of first place. She followed that up with a dominant win in the Women’s 3-meter event, scoring 207.25 to claim the top spot.

Ben Lentz delivered an outstanding performance in the Men’s 1-meter competition, taking 1st place with a commanding score of 306.25. He also dominated the Men’s 3-meter event, earning another 1st place finish with a score of 295.75.

This marked the first competition of the year for the College of Marin diving squad, and their strong performances set the tone for a promising season ahead.

 

“We’re really proud of how Olivia and Ben performed in their first meet,” said Coach Denis Bondarenko “They showed composure, consistency, and a high level of skill. This was a great way to start the season, and we’re excited to see them continue improving.”

 

The Mariners will now build on this momentum as they prepare for their next competition, fine-tuning their dives and increasing their degree of difficulty.
