Solano College limited Marin to only 19 first half points, while scoring 48 of their own leading to sizable 89-35 defeat for the Mariners. Solano jumped out to a quick lead as they hit a trio of early three pointers and led 12-0 midway through the first quarter. The Mariners remained scoreless until Kaleah Williams connected on a wing three pointer to make the score 14-3. Scoring was at a premium for Marin in the first as they managed just seven points, while the Falcons recorded a quarter century.

The second quarter was much like the first with Marin struggling to convert at the rim and Solano scoring with ease on the fast break. Halftime could not have come soon enough for the home team who trailed their visitors 48-19 at the buzzer.

With the game all but decided by the start of the second half the Mariners looked to improve on defense and execution. Solano continued to score at will and led 71-29 after three quarters. The final ten minutes saw the Falcons ease up and limit their scoring to only 18 points.

Despite a final score of 89-35 there were some positives for Marin. They continued to fight for all 40 minutes and looked good to spurts. The biggest negative was the transition defense which saw Solano score a lion's share of their points in the game.

Victoria Bing had 7 points and 13 rebounds for Marin while Vanessa Torres had seven of her own and dished out four assists.
