On Friday at the Diamond Center, the College of Marin Women’s Basketball team (11-6) went toe to toe with Los Medanos (8-8); 56-49. The Mariners scored 25 points in the fourth quarter which gave them the edge over the Mustangs.

The leading scorers for the Mariners were: freshman point guard, Aulani Leomiti, 12; and sophomore guard, T Claros, 11. Sophomore point guard, Jayden Davis, and sophomore guard, DaRia White also contributed 9 points each. Sophomore post, Kayley Armstrong grabbed a season-high of 13 rebounds.
The Mariners stamped their victory ticket by scoring 10 points in the last 2:30 of the game and by playing stellar defense that allowed only one point from the Mustangs. This was a great team win for the Mariners as everyone contributed.
