College of Marin Women's Basketball featured a balanced offense and a well organized defense to build and maintain a steady lead over the visiting Pirates from Modesto Junior College. 

Modesto came into the game off of a big win over Reedly College, defeating the Tigers 79-39. However, the Mariners did not allow Modesto to get any momentum. The first half the Mariners established a strong inside game scoring several baskets in the post. Then the Mariners mixed in some outside game, draining several 3-pointers. Aulani Leomiti was 4-4 from downtown and DaRia White went 2-2.

The Mariners sophomores made their presense felt. Jayden Davis led all scorer's with 14 and Kayley Armstrong scored 10 points in 18 minutes. 

Next, the Mariners face Ohlone College on Friday, November 11 and Gavilan College on Saturday, November 12 at 5pm as part of the Don Barksdale Homecoming Tournament.
