Kentfield, CA. - On Tuesday night, the Mariners pulled off a hard-fought 3-1 (11-25, 25-23, 25-13, 25-21) victory at the Don Barksdale Court. Siyah Grigsby led the offense with a season-high of 10 kills for the match.

The Mariners got off to a slow start against the visiting Trojans, losing the first game 11-25. Then, coming back to win the next three in a row. The Mariners were missing four players which called for the front row to step up and pay all six rotations. “Tonight we saw individuals step out of their comfort zone, that’s where growth happens” -Coach Pate

After shaking off the nerves of playing new positions, there was a shift in momentum as the Mariners began communicating and finding their flow to come back from a five-point deficit in game two.

The Mariners will host the College of Siskiyous Eagles on Friday, Sept. 23 in a 3 pm match at the Don Barksdale Court.
