Mariners Women's Volleyball Under New Leadership

Rebecca Pate is kicking off her first season as head coach for the Mariners with Megan Godsill assisting. The goal for Mariner’s volleyball is to stabilize the program while understanding the needs and providing resources that are available. Becca and Megan are developing and implementing structures that will hold them accountable as a unit.

As the season begins, they are excited to start building the foundation for a winning program, winning not only by the scoreboard, but by scholarship transfers we are able to produce.

Coach Pate plans to hold herself, the coach staff, and the student athletes to certain standards and principles, we call it "The Mariner's Way".   The mentality we are currently enforcing for this year's team is to do everything with intention, controlling and mastering what is in our power and owning our responsibilities on and off the court.

The Mariners are a freshman heavy team this year as quoted from Coach Pate. “We are lucky to have three dynamic sophomores in major leadership positions. They are making an impact every day in fostering team unity and dedication to our program. This is a building year, and our sophomores are helping to shape our future for the next generation of Mariners.
