The Mariners scored just before the first half whistle while the defense did their best to hold up against the Mendocino’s second half attack. The visitors scored twice, just five minutes apart to a grab a 2-1 win.
It was a spirited affair, as the Comets took a 1-0 halftime lead before doubling their advantage early in the second half. The Mariners responded with a goal to cut the lead to 2-1, but Contra Costa scored twice more to grab the 4-1 win.
The match did not go as planned for Marin, as Yuba took a first half lead and continued to add on in the second half before COM was able to get on the scoreboard late in the second half. It was too little, too late as Yuba emerged with the victory by a score of 3-1.
An excellent first half and good start to the second stanza was not enough for the Mariners to grab their first win since October 4th as they fell to Merritt 3-2
The Mariners rallied twice from one goal deficits to grab a 3-2 victory. It was the first conference win of the year and second overall win on the season for College of Marin.
COM Men's Soccer traveled to Oakland to face Merritt College, looking for their first goal in over two weeks. While they came close several times, the Mariners were unable to break through and fell to the Merritt Thunderbirds 2-0.
A nil-nil halftime score was undone by a 55th minute goal by Gavilan’s Edgar Roman, against the run of play. College of Marin had several chances to tie the game but could not do so before the end of the match.
College of Marin battled back to tie the game twice in the first half, but could not grab the go ahead goal against College of the Redwoods in a 5-2 loss at home.
The Mariners began strong, taking their first lead of the season, but as the game wore on, fatigue took its toll and Butte College rallied for a 4-2 victory.
Despite trailing late, the Mariners did not give up, scoring twice in the final ten minutes of the match to push the final score line of 3-2 in favor of Cañada College.
The Mariners had the opportunity to grab their first points of the season, The bounces however, did not go Marin’s way in a 2-0 loss to Monterey Peninsula College.
